I thought that the end can be sad, or be surprised, but I like the happy ending better.
After the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl, they suffer from the difficult situation, but there has something very important, the attitude to face any difficulties, and the way to solve challenges. I thought Billie can change about her a lot, she can easily to change the way to solve problem, like the financial problem, the crisis of their crops, the problem of their incomes, even the relationship between her and father. We can see what things will happen!
First, Billie started to challenge herself, started to study hard, to realize the knowledges of agriculture, and then, she invent the way or method to change the way to plant these crops, and invent more and more form of these crops, and sell for lots of money, for few years, these crops become the important thing in America, to cause the economy in America. In this process, she worked with her father, to think about the mew skill and invention, that is, their relationship became better and better. That means, their income and , I thought it was the good enrelationship problem was getting betterdiing for them, and readers!
I think Billie and her father would get through this hard time. After these sad event for Billie(such as her mother, the dust storm...) , there shoud be some hopeful things occures. Maybe Billie's relationship between her and her father would be better. And their live become more and more hopeful. Jeff Lee
I think Billie Jo and her father will become reconciled again because her fathjer is the only family member she has in this world. She cannot live or do anything without her father. She also can't go through the sadness of her mather's death. Th ey need to talk to each other about that accident and give each other a chance to admit their own family member again.
I think the story would be a tragidy one. All the important people in Billie Jo's life would disappear in her life. There disappearing would give Billie Jo the feeling of hopeful. All the things would be memory, and they would make the comparation betweeen now and then. Billie Jo might experience the death of her father. The Great Depression, Black Sunday, and the death of her mother makes me think of this kind of ending.
I think Billie Jo and her father would be more like a family at the end of the book. After they suffered all the difficulties, their relationship should be rebuilt. A hard time can make people’s relationship closer. That’s why I think Billie Jo and her father would become reconciled. Another reason of this idea is that when the Black Sunday came, and the dust storm began to destroy all the things, both Billie Jo and her father were outside the house. When they were in the storm, her father held Billie Jo’s hand tightly, this show that her father didn’t want to lost Billie Jo. After the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression, they would appreciate each other more. Also, I think the book would be ended by the end of the drought. So I think there would be a heavy rain that made everything start growing. And the rain would bring hope to the people.
I think Billie Jo and her father will move out.The enviroment there is too difficult for people to live,so I think they will move to somewhere, and start a new life that is totally different from before.
After overcome the worst situation, there will always be a good ending. So I think Billie Jo and her daddy will make their relationship stronger during the worst time. Then they will know how important it was to have family to achieve each other through the hard time. They will also cherish the memory of mom, but now they needed to start a new live without mom. After the dust, their hometown may became a bad place to live, so I think they will move to a new place.
I think Billie Jo and her father will have a good life after those tough time, like The Great Depression, The Black Sunday and the death of her mother. When they were in these hard time, Billie will know that her father is the only family member she has. So there relationship must became much closer. I think they will move to a better place, and Billie should started to learn how to live without her mother. There life must be better.
In the end, Billie Joe And her father Bayard Would meet and recognize each other Thirteen years after Billie Joe had left. Daddy has crumbled into an over soaked prune and Little Billie, who now turned into a TALL slim beauty who changed her name into Gwendoylon hug in despair... ...
I think that Billie Jo and her father will reconcile and have a stronger relationship between each other at the end of the story. Maybe Billie Jo's father will try to do something to "surprise" her since they had not have a very happy life for a long time. In the end the drought ends and the rain will come (possibly), people will start to have a better life, and things will be back on track again. I also have a feeling that in the end there might have some changes (fine ones) in Billie Jo's life, maybe someone is going to appear and have an impact on her. But whatever the change is, I think Billie Jo is going to grow up and become more adjust to her life with her father.
I think everything will get better. Maybe Billie Jo and her father will forget the accident that made her mother die. They will forgive each other. This is a happy ending. Maybe there is another ending. Billie Jo hates her father very much. Her father never cares her. Billie Jo will go away from home. But I don't like this ending.
By the way, some parts of the book show that Billie Jo is trying to make the relationship between her and her father better.... like she would start to think about the things that they did together, and she would make comments about it... it seems like she is trying to improve the relationship.
I think Billie Jo and her father will start a new life. A better life. And I think their relationship will become better, too. All of the people will start their new life. And their life will be like " a calm after the storm".
I think in the end, Billie Jo and her father will become a "family" again. They will move on in life, and the drought, Great Depression and all the other disasters will gradually end. I think that the story will be a happy ending, though it may not be like fairy tales, after all they had been through, I believe that their life will be better. Especially after the Black Sunday, when everything is destroyed and everything must start from scratch again, that event seems to be another important turning point in Billie Jo's life. Also, I hope that her hand will heal and her wonderful piano skills will get her through all the difficulties in her life. After all that she had been through, I believe that she will build up a determined character, and the book's ending would be very satisfying. Chelsea =)
I think in the end Billie Joe and his father's reletionship will suffer a rupture and she will run away to California where she always wanted to go to and live there. In California, she hided her real name and works in a restaurant performing during the dinner time. She got courage and wanted to become a super star. At this time her dad was sighing at his dead crops and he got an anonymous letter fill with a large number of cash. And both of them disappear strangely. They actually life together far far in a montain somewhere in the world.
I think Billie Jo and her father will overcome all those awful events in the end of the story. I think they will learn expierences from those bad days they had walked through. They will start a new life and be hopeful again!!
I think Billie jo and her father'r relationship will be closer gain, just like a familier. And it will be a happy ending. I think that their holp will be come true and their will get throught all the hard time. I think at the end, there must have a big rain, but that didn't bring any disaster, it bring some benefit. After those hard time, it must have some good thing happen. I think that they will have a good life. Maybe thay can plant the wheat or something that can earn money. And they have enough rain to irrigate their plant. Then Billie Jo and her father have enough money, they may buy a new house, and have a good life. by cindy
I think in the end of the story, Billie Jo and her dad will resume their relation. They will learn how to communicate with each other and maintain good parent-child relationship in the absence of her mother. And everything will turn for the better, including the economic environment at the time, the agricultural harvest of Billie Jo’s father, everyone in the town's economic situation will gradually improve. Those people to leave will also return to this place. Or, Billie Jo's father met another women, and Billie Jo has a new mom, Billie Jo went on get his younger brother, and all are good again.I think from the plot of the book, I can inference this result.
I think that Billie Jo would become a well-known piano player at the end of the story. She played the music around the world. Many countries' government wanted her to play some renowned music. And her father might be proud of her at the end of the story. I think after her had died, she became nervous to touch the piano that her mother had played that before. But her father encouraged her and wanted she to play the piano for him and Ma. So Billie Jo overcame her great fear and practiced every day. One day, she enjoyed the piano contest and became the champion player. One of the judge recommended her to study about music in the musical college. After few years, she became a famous piano performer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~By Eric~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's me again! I think that the relationship between the Billie Jo and her father will grow stronger than now and maybe billie Jo will forgive her father and become a famous professional piano performer. And maybe in the very end of the story Billie Jo and her father found oil and nature gas under their land and they became the riches people around that area. but still I like the answer that I had already answered above "I think in the end Billie Jo and all other people will die and the entired world will be destroyed" and a again I'm still just joking about the dying and the destroyed part!

I think in the end, Billie Jo and her father would become better about their relationship, they would know that they can forgive the fault and the wrong, and live together happily.
I think..Billie Jo and her father will get along much better than before. They can open their heart and really let thier thought for each other to face it.I think It will be a good ening.
I have already read this book, but at first I thought that the ending will be Billie Jo realized that her father really loved her mother and soon they forgive each other then they move to another city or country and started a new life. Or at last Billie Jo can't take the pressure that her father gave her and the truth that her mother had died and she suicided, his father married another woman and have a new life. I thought the ending might be like this at first.

Excuse me ; there is a mistake in third sentence
There disappearing would give Billie Jo the feeling of hopeful.
hopeful should change to hopeless
